Why We Only Do Rewires
House Rewiring Milton Keynes was started by Mark Hollis, an electrician who grew up on a 1970s estate in Bletchley. He spent the first part of his career doing general domestic work across MK: new sockets, lights, the odd fault. He kept walking into the same kind of house. It had been built in the city's first decades, still had its original wiring and an old fuse box, and its owners had never had a clear answer about what a rewire would really involve.
Rewiring has a bad reputation. People expect mess, delays and a final bill that looks nothing like the quote. Mark thought that was avoidable, so he built a team that does nothing but rewires, and does them the same careful way every time.
How we work
How We Work
Every job starts with a free survey. We come to your home, look properly at your existing installation and ask how you use the house: where the TV goes, whether you work from home, whether you're thinking about an EV charger. Then we send you a fixed, written quote and a room-by-room plan.
On site, we treat your home as if it were our own. Floorboards are lifted carefully and screwed back down. Furniture and floors are covered. Chases in walls are kept to a minimum and filled before we leave. Your power goes back on at the end of every day, and you'll get a quick update from us every evening on what's done and what's next.
When the work is finished, we test every circuit, issue your Electrical Installation Certificate and notify the work under Part P of the Building Regulations. We also walk you through your new consumer unit so you know exactly how it works.
